The MPC can also route the devices between each other so you can use a controller keyboard to reach a different sound module via the MPC. It’s also great for simply syncing up other drum machines and sequencers to a single place. The idea is that you can use the sequencing and controlling power of the MPC engine to run everything else so you’re no longer having to drop between workflows to access other parts of your studio. Add a USB hub and you can expand that up to 32 devices. They all have USB inputs on the back and with the new update they can understand any class-compliant keyboard, synth or device that gets plugged into it. I mean what are they holding back for version 3? This update is for the MPC X, MPC One and MPC Live. It’s the sort of thing that deserves an entire whole number increment. ![]()
